Siberian Husky

Siberian Huskies are strong, compact, working canines. The Siberian Husky comes in all colors from black to pure white are allowed. A variety of markings on the head is common, including plenty of striking patterns not present in other breeds. Color choices include Black & White, which ranges from light (dilute) to dark (jet), Sable & White (which is red-orange with black tips), Agouti & White (which is sometimes known as the coyote color & contains plenty of dark grey coat), & White (not to be confused with a Samoyed). The face mask & underbody are usually white, & the remaining coat any color. The eyes are almond formed, moderately spaced & set a trifle obliquely.

It is a common misconception that all Siberians have blue eyes. They can have eyes that are blue, brown, amber, or any combination thereof including eyes which are half blue & half brown, which is known as being parti-eyed. Having blue eye & brown eye is known as being bi-eyed. The giant "snow shoe" feet have hair between the toes for gripping on ice. Its ears are set high & erect, with a sickle formed tail. The Siberian Husky has a thick, wooly undercoat & a soft outer coat.

Temperament

Huskies make an excellent walking companion, as long as it is not hot. This breed likes to howl & gets bored basically. They do not like to be left alone, so if this is the breed for you, you may need to think about having. A lonely Husky can be destructive. Keep in mind that the Husky is a sled dog in heart & soul. They are nice with other pets in the event that they are raised with them from puppyhood. Huskies are thrifty eaters & need less food than you might expect. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, as even the top breeders in the country will tell you that they learn something new about their canines every day! They have a lifespan of up to 15 years

These dogs are gentle & playful, but willful & mischievous. This cheerful dog is raring to go on his or her relatives. A puppy at heart, they are smart, sociable & loving, easy-going & docile. Though they do usually have plenty of energy, as puppies. Nice with kids & friendly with strangers, they are not watchdogs, for they bark small & love everyone. Huskies are smart & trainable, but they have a mind of their own & will only obey a command in the event that they see the point.
