Receive a tiny dog crate & hold your puppy in it overnight & for periods when you cannot watch them. They instinctively don't need to go in their own area, so you can use that to your advantage. Take them straight from the dog crate to outside, & they will finally get the idea. For felines, be sure to receive a quality litter box & give your cat their own space. Felines naturally need to dig when they eliminate, so keep showing them the litter box after they eat. It might be a lovely suggestion to receive a tiny pet crate for your cat as well in case you plan on travelling with him or her. An additional safety tip for cat owners is to keep felines away from the dryer machine. Felines like being in cozy, closed off places, & they will jump in the dryer when your not looking, which can lead to catastrophe.
